Coaches with Braddock Road Tackle Football

Heads UP Football Training for all coaching volunteers

We take football education and safety seriously. Every volunteer who will be on the field with the athletes is expected to receive safety and football fundamentals training via USA Football and Glazier Clinics. Each coach must earn a certification with USA Football before the season begins in order to participate in on-field activities. This education includes the best techniques for keeping players safe during practices and games. Coaching Volunteers are invited to attend an intense workshop with the Glazier clinics over the coarse of a long weekend in March. This enables our club to engage with other coaches from Youth, High School, College, and even Professionals to enhance football knowledge. In 2024 we had ten Coaching Volunteers attend. Even in the off-season Braddock Road is striving to learn how to give your young athlete a smarter and safer football life.

We are always looking for additional volunteers to help train and teach the next generation of leaders. At Braddock Road, our Coaching Philosophy is "Player-First." What this means is player safety being physical, mental, and teaching are the factors in our coaching decisions. We want to teach our young athletes how to win but not at the expense of their health, ethics, and future.
